Dr. Michael Skrobola earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Manhattan College and graduated first in his class from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. He completed a general practice residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan before earning his orthodontic certificate from Eastman Dental Center. Dr. Skrobola is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and brings more than 30 years of experience to the Hudson Valley.
Dr. Jonathan Schlosser earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated with high honors. He completed his Master of Science and orthodontic certificate at the University of Buffalo, serving as class president. His master’s research was published in the Journal of Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics.
Dr. Mike Skrobola III followed in his father’s footsteps, graduating number one in his class at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He earned his orthodontic certificate from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, one of only six students selected. He now treats patients alongside his father and Dr. Schlosser at Bracesetters Orthodontics in Monroe, Monroe, Monticello, and Newburgh.
Monroe Braces
Braces in Monroe are a reliable option for correcting complex tooth and bite issues. Because they use consistent, targeted pressure, braces can sometimes deliver results faster than clear aligners—especially for severe misalignment or jaw irregularities.
This system uses metal or ceramic brackets bonded to your teeth and connected by a series of wires and elastics. These components work together to gradually shift your smile into alignment under the supervision of Dr. Schlosser, Dr. Michael Skrobola, or Dr. Mike Skrobola III.
Whether you’re a teen, adult, or parent seeking treatment for your child, braces remain one of the most effective tools in orthodontics.
Monroe Clear Aligners
Clear aligners in Monroe offer a flexible, nearly invisible way to straighten your teeth without brackets or wires. Popular with patients of all ages, these custom trays are designed to fit snugly and shift your teeth over time.
You’ll wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Every week or two, you’ll switch to a new set as directed by our doctors. At Bracesetters Orthodontics, we offer Angel Aligners, Spark, and Invisalign—each with its own benefits, depending on your smile goals.
Clear aligners are ideal for many common orthodontic concerns, and our team will help determine if they’re the best option for your treatment plan.
