On July 4th every year, Americans come together to celebrate one of the grandest days in American history, Independence Day! July 4th is a time for family, friends, and patriotism, and it’s nearing close. Bracesetters Orthodontics is excited to celebrate, and we know our patients in Middletown NY are as well. That is why we’ve come up with this list of fun things to do for the fourth. (And some of them even include braces!)
- Make Festive Desserts – Many people in Middletown NY have BBQs to celebrate this day. A fun way to get involved is to whip up some red white and blue desserts such as homemade ice pops or cupcakes. Dr. Schlosser and Dr. Skrobola remind you though to make sure these desserts are braces friendly – not too sticky, hard, or chewy! Bracesetters Orthodontics also reminds you to brush your teeth well after eating to avoid buildup within the braces and on the teeth.
- Outfit Yourself in Stars and Stripes – Challenge yourself to dress as patriotic as possible by wearing red, white, and blue, or items with the American flag print. Ladies, you can even make a flag design on your nails. Then, stop in to the Bracesetters Orthodontics office in Middletown NY and get your braces colors changed to match your outfit. A red white and blue smile is the best accessory!
- Make a Unique Craft – Hang some custom decorations around your house in Middletown NY that are guaranteed to be unique. Try making a layered candle, your own flag out of ribbons, or even €˜fireworks in a jar,’ which are made by mixing food coloring, oil, and water. Or, our favorite, take a photo of yourself and your beautiful smile from Bracesetters Orthodontics, and decorate it like Uncle Sam.
- Start a New Tradition– Many people in Middletown NY enjoy Independence Day simply because of its traditions. Enjoying block parties and watching fireworks are fun of course, but this year try adding a new tradition into the mix. Whatever you choose to do, Bracesetters Orthodontics reminds you to be safe and smart.
Dr. Schlosser, Dr. Skrobola, and the team at Bracesetters Orthodontics hope that this list will help to make your Independence Day this year the best it has ever been. And keep in mind; follow the same braces routine today as you do all other days, it is important to keep a healthy smile!
